Welcome toBongoChat. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the BongoChat mobile application and related services. By accessing or using BongoChat, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using BongoChat, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, ourPrivacy Policy, and any additional guidelines provided within the app. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use BongoChat.

2. Description of Service

BongoChat is a social communication platform that provides end-to-end encrypted messaging, Moments (permanent social posts), Stories (ephemeral 24-hour media), BongoQR (QR-based friend discovery), and Bongo Points (loyalty rewards). We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Accounts

To use BongoChat, you must register for an account. You agree to the following:

You must be at least13 years oldto create an account.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities under your account.

You must immediately notify us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse BongoChat or help anyone else do so. Prohibited activities include:

Posting content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory.

Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely claiming an affiliation.

Transmitting spam, chain letters, or unsolicited commercial communications.

Uploading viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt the service.

Circumventing security measures or accessing restricted areas of the system.

Harvesting or collecting personal data of other users without consent.

5. Content Ownership & License

Your Content:You retain all ownership rights to the content you create and share on BongoChat (messages, Moments, Stories, etc.). However, by posting content, you grant BongoChat a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the service to you and your intended recipients.

BongoChat Content:The BongoChat name, logo, app design, and all associated graphics are the intellectual property of Bongo Software Limited. You may not use our trademarks or proprietary information without explicit written permission.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to BongoChat immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be inappropriate or harmful to our community.

You may delete your account at any time viaSettings → Account → Delete Account, or by submitting a request through ourData Deletion Form. Upon deletion, your profile and associated shared content will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

BongoChat is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bongo Software Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
